By playing VAULTED you agree to these terms. They are short and there is nothing
hidden in them.
This is the part that matters, so it is first.
Coins are a score. They exist inside VAULTED and nowhere else.
limited, personal, revocable licence to use them inside the game.
money, and there never will be. Buying coins is buying the use of them in the
game, and that purchase is final.
accounts cannot be used to move coins between them; attempts to do so through
arranged matches are limited by the game and treated as a breach of these
terms.
or accounts anywhere else is prohibited. We do not recognise those trades, we
will not restore anything lost in one, and accounts involved may be closed.
unspent coins end with it. Where the law requires otherwise, the law wins.
A match is entered by staking coins. Everyone at the table stakes the same
amount and the pot goes to the finishing order. The house takes no cut. No
part of any pot is kept by us.
Coins can be bought, and they can be lost in a match. They cannot come back out
as money, so this is a game, not gambling. Nothing in VAULTED pays a prize of
real-world value. Matches are decided by skill — who works out the code
first — not by chance.
When few players are online, some opponents may be computer-controlled. They
play at your own level, stake into the same pot, and are settled by the same
server rules as any other seat; the house covers their stake.
If you are somewhere that regards paid in-game staking differently, it is your
responsibility not to play.
Do not: use modified clients, automate play, exploit a fault instead of
reporting it, arrange results with another player, or use more than one account
to feed a main one.
Accounts doing these things may lose coins gained that way, or be closed. We
will always rather fix the hole than punish the person who found it — tell us.
You are responsible for what happens on your account. Choose a name that would
not embarrass you if a stranger read it aloud; names are filtered, and names
that get past the filter can still be removed. Other players can report and
block you, and you can report and block them.
Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refunds are
Apple's to give, not ours — we cannot issue one, though we will help you ask.
Rules, prices, formats and balance will change. We will not change them to take
away something you have paid for.
The game is provided as is. We do not promise it is uninterrupted or fault-free.
Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything
else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise our total liability to you is
limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You can stop playing at any time and delete your account in
Profile → Settings → Delete account. We may close an account that breaches
these terms.
